Hei!
Sorry for asking.
I would be very greateful if anybody helped me to translate this song from Hungurian. In general at least to understand what it is about. Thank you very much! :)

roughly speaking, the song is about love.

"every way is a labyrinth"

every way is a labyrinth, everything only returns [?]
there is no day, when night does not come!

look at the shadows, the wires of the destiny are jerking
how proudly, but how frail!

every soul is searching me, every is waiting for me,
everything just return to me!

Maybe you have heard my name [to be] ugly, but i am pretty,
for those, who hanker from here!

i look for everything, i have still a lot of work to do!

yes, but here you are, and you will come, when i will be bored [?]

when i am looking at you, your light makes [me] blind,
it dazzles and paralyses me! [?]

i would like to heat by/on you a little bit,
i do not want to be cold. [?]

this is a fact, that a worldly [?] existance attractes slightly,
why should i oppose your attraction?

this feeling is dangerous, it causes pain,
i could be a hanger, although i play a lover now? [??]

but our destiny is written like that, you have to go,
i have to wait for you.

i know, it is just like that, [?] that you will love me at last,
you will be my lady in the night for ever.

sorry, i am not sure if it is written grammatically in English, i just translated the meaning of every sentence, i hope it makes sense. :)

Thank you very much:)

First, I cant understand this line:
"look at the shadows, the wires of the destiny are jerking
how proudly, but how frail!"
I tried to understand the sense of this phrase?
Would you put it in a bit different words?

And the second. I can't understand this line: "i could be a hanger, although i play a lover now?" Hanger? Why hanger?

Would you ne so kind as to help me...

OK, sorry, English is not my first language. :)

Nézd az árnyakat, sors drótján ránganak
mily büszkén, mégis mily esendőn!

'look at the shadows, they are flickering on the wires of destiny
oh, how proudly, however, how frailly [weakly]!'

Veszélyes érzés, fáj már mindenképpen
hóhérnak lennem, bár hősszerelmest játszom éppen!

'it is a dangerous feeling, to be a hanger [executor],
although i am playing now a role of a lover'

i know it sounds strange, but that is what is written in this song. :)

Thank you very much! Now it is clear for me completely:) It doesn't sound strange, because this is the Death's song *see the last message in this discussion - I explain there what is this song from:)))*

OK, now i understand the context. :)
so is here Death a male?
[i am asking, because in Polish "śmierć" is feminine, that is why we usually imagine death as if it was a woman.]

Yes, he is beautifil young man with golden hair... Here he is: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y224/m_lle_frollo/p3.jpg

In Russian "smert'" is feminine too, but in German it is masculine - "der Tod":)

Re: köszzöt

This song is from musical "Elisabeth" (music by Silvester Levay, libretto by Michael Kunze). This musical was staged in many countres, but this song was used only in two productions - japanese (originally; this song was written for it) and hungarian. The character who sing this song is the Death, who is in love with empress Elisabeth. The most well-known musical actors who performed this song were Maki Ishiro (Japan - in all-female Japanese Takarazuka theatre producrion) and Szilveszter Szabo and Mester Tamas (Hungary both).
